COURSE DESCRIPTION This course will review the consequences of WMD Terrorism and identify appropriate tools available to government at many levels for minimizing adverse affects on a population at risk and enabling effective crisis and consequence management. The course will review the processes and challenges inherent in the command and control of responding agencies and their integration under the provisions of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) through the implementation of Incident and Unified Command. The organization, roles and responsibilities of the principal government agencies involved in domestic antiterrorist activities will be examined outlining their responsibilities in the pursuit of effective crisis and consequence management.
